1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Luqya (the “Service”), including our website at luqya.app and our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Luqya is a craft verification platform that helps travelers identify, assess, and learn about authentic Moroccan handcrafted goods. The Service provides AI-powered craft identification (“FastScan”), quality assessment, fair price guidance, a craft encyclopedia, and community submission features.

3. Accounts

To access certain features you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Free Scans and Paid Credits

Verified users receive a limited number of free FastScans. Additional scan credits can be purchased in packs. Credits are non-refundable and expire one year from the date of purchase. Pricing, pack sizes, and free scan limits may change at any time.

5. AI-Powered Results — No Guarantees

FastScan results are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only. Luqya does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any scan result, including craft identification, quality assessment, price ranges, or authenticity markers. Results should not be your sole basis for purchasing decisions. Luqya is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on scan results.

6. User Content

When you upload photos or submit craft information, you grant Luqya a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload.

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Using the Service to facilitate the sale of counterfeit goods
• Circumventing scan quotas, rate limits, or security measures
• Scraping, reverse-engineering, or interfering with the Service
• Uploading malicious, illegal, or infringing content
• Creating multiple accounts to abuse free scans

8. Intellectual Property

The Luqya name, logo, design system, craft encyclopedia content, and AI models are the property of Luqya or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers for payments (Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play via RevenueCat), analytics (PostHog), and email (Resend). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused scan credits are forfeited upon termination for cause.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luqya and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
